Nardi – Crosley 750
.
Vehicle Overview
This 1953 Nardi 750 features coachwork by Pietro Frua and is one of two Crosley-powered barchettas constructed by Enrico Nardi at his Turin workshop. Designated chassis #953-1, the car was reportedly shipped to Nardi’s US Importer, Stanley Arnolt, in March 1953 and displayed at the International Motorsport Show in New York City, where it received an award for best design. Stanley Arnolt raced #953-1 around the Midwest between 1953-1955, during which time it was featured in Road & Track and displayed at the Henry Ford Museum. It was campaigned as an H-Mod racer into the 1960s, before being placed in storage and later revived for the vintage racing circuit.
