Model year 1983 saw the introduction of an all-wheel-drive variant, enhancing the car’s versatility and appeal. Facelifts in 1986 and 1991 further refined its design, ensuring it remained a stylish and practical choice for urban drivers. The first chapter of the Fiat Panda’s legacy concluded in 2003, marked by a transition to the second generation. Giuliano Biasio, chef designer in Bertone, took charge of designing the new iteration.
