Stutz Diplomatica

The Diplomatica is a luxury car produced by Stutz from 1981 to 1985. Its elongated version was called Stutz Royale.

Vehicle Overview

The Stutz Diplomatica was a limo based on the Cadillac DeVille. Of the seven examples produced by coachbuilder Saturn, one Stutz Diplomatica was sold to the royal family of Saudi Arabia. In 1981, the price of the armored version was $ 225,000. In 1981, three examples were built with an extended wheelbase (7,500 mm), which was given the name of Stutz Royale in homage to the Bugatti Royale. Its armored version cost $ 285,000. The Royale was designed by the Italian designer Paolo Martin, and was equipped with a sunroof that allowed the passenger to participate in ceremonies. Two examples of the model were in fact purchased, respectively, by the king of Saudi Arabia Fahd and by Omar Bongo, president of Gabon.
