The Fiat Dingy built on the 127 chassis by Pietro Frua.
The Fiat Dingy is presented by Pietro Frua in Geneva in 1977. It was built in small series based on the Fiat 127 and has the same features as the original model. Designed for use as a support car for tourist resorts, or Spiaggetta, it has the dashboard of the basic version of the Fiat 127, bumpers of the special version and wheels from the second series, but already in use on some examples of the first series special.
The birth of the Spiaggina (Spiaggia = Beach) takes place in the immediate post-war period at the initiative of some Italian coachbuilders which transformed small mass production cars in order to make them suitable for the needs of wealthy customers during the holiday period in the seaside resorts.
